The Marin Needle Arts Guild was formed for the purpose of educating and promoting the highest standards of technique and design in the Needle Arts.
The Guild brings together quilters, needle artists and fiber
artists. Membership is open to anyone who has an interest
in the Needle Arts.
Special Interest Groups within the guild are Quilting, Stitchery,
Wearable Art, Beading, Teddy Bears, Knitting and Hand Applique.
Meetings are held Social
Hall at the Aldersgate Methodist Church, One Wellbrock Heights,
San Rafael, California.
Quilt Lovers group meets the first Monday of month at 7pm.
Third Saturday of month guild meets starting at 10:00 a.m.; meeting runs until 2:00 p.m.
Presently the Saturday meetings have been designated as "workshop days" either with a guest presenter or guild member providing projects. If no guest event schedule guild members will share their projects and/or work on outreach projects. Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Special Interest Group meets throughout the year setting their own meeting
days and times.
The Guild schedules workshops, seminars
and field trips thoroughout the year for its members.
The Guild enjoys a strong record of philanthropy and leadership in the community and has donated countless quilts and wearable items to area charitable organizations, hospitals and patients.
